“Free With Tech” is a philosophy that empowers individuals to live intentionally in the present by using technology as a supportive tool, rather than being controlled by it.
In our hyperconnected world, it’s become common to see friends lost in their screens, messaging people who aren’t there, while seemingly ignoring those who are. In these moments, I’ve felt a deep sense of frustration and disconnection. It’s as if the time and attention we share, which are among life’s most valuable assets, are being stolen away.
Our modern technology, designed to capture as much of our attention as possible, fuels this disconnection. Endless notifications disrupt our focus, bombarding us with irrelevant information, and reducing our ability to be present. We were never meant to absorb so much information at once, and the result is a scattered mind and a diminished ability to engage with what truly matters.
It’s not surprising that companies design their tech this way—our attention is a commodity, sold to the highest bidder and used to manipulate our behavior, often leading to impulsive decisions and fueling consumerism. But at what cost? The cost is our presence, our focus, and ultimately, our happiness.
I began to ask myself some hard questions:
Mindful tech use empowers you to control your digital world, ensuring that technology supports your life rather than dominates it. By living fully in the present, you enhance your freedom and happiness. Technology should amplify your experience, not diminish it.

Reduce digital clutter and distractions by simplifying your tech environment. Prioritize tools and apps that truly enhance your life, while letting go of the rest.
Use technology as a supportive tool, not a dependency. Maintain your freedom by ensuring that your life doesn’t revolve around your devices, but rather that your devices serve your life.
